A daughter of a blue collar small business father my beginnings were humble. I was taught to work hard, believe in myself and be competitive. Through my professional career I learned decision making as if companies were my own, leadership, and resilience. I am a wife, mother of twins and blended family and someone who is fearlessly authentic. Our family's furry pack consist of 3 rescues: Candy, Faith and now Moo. Pictured below is Gus, Faith and Candy from the year I launched (2020). Gus was our original pitbull love who we lost suddenly in 2021. We always have a foster rotating in and out throughout the year.
While dogs have been in my life since childhood the passion kicked in when our family began to foster dogs in 2014. Providing a place to rest for a few days until adoption occurred turned into being an ongoing foster family to many dogs beyond just that one. After adopting our own Pit bull we began to advocate for the breed as well as to show that all shelter dogs can be the best family dogs out there. Today we rescue, foster, adopt out, donate money and time as well as help with transports. Its now who we are and don't be surprised if one of our fosters shows up on the truck every now and again!
While our original pack has their own rescue stories (Gus and Faith were due to die the day they were saved), a little bit about the dog we now have called Moo, aka Mama Moo.
Saved from the shelter where she was brought in abandoned and pregnant as a stray, we agreed to foster her. She was a great dog with a lot of interest however for a year did not have any match made. After losing Gus we did not want another female, but looking in her eyes we couldn't help but wonder if she was meant to stay and why she never was matched. In September 2021, we officially adopted Moo.
